Other counties In 1929, a similar sport
appeared in France. Differences were in number of players – it was
reduced for 3 to 5 players; size of playing aera – 60 to 100 merets
long. One year later “kanupolo” rules were also changed. Halves were
reduced to 30 minutes each; pitch bacame smaller, it was 60-90 meters
long and 40-60 meters wide; also teams were reduced to five players
each. Third counry that has its own independent version of this sport
is Australia. It had a beginning after World War II. They used
two-player boats. One of players, on the front, was trying to reach the
ball while the one on back of the boat was a stern paddler, his job was
to controll the canoe.
