...Canoe polo disappeared for about 50 years...
It was re-invited in 1920s in Germany (as a “kanupolo”). It was used
more to train young paddlers than to play serious games. In 1926 the
Germany Canoe Federation published the first rules that were based on
the rules of soccer and handball. Two halves – 45 minutes each, 1
players on a team, playing field was 99-120 meters long and 50-90
meters wide with two goals 4 meters wide and 1,5 meters high.
